Dr. Garrick Liang
Certified Specialist in Endodontics
Dr. Garrick Liang was born in and spent most of his life in Vancouver, BC. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Immunology at the University of British Columbia in 2002. He went on to attend McGill University where he received his DMD degree in 2006. Immediately following dental school, Dr. Liang spent two years at the University of Connecticut where he completed both a residency and a fellowship in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program. It was during this time in Connecticut that he realized his passion for endodontics. Dr. Liang then attended the University of Illinois at Chicago where he completed his advanced specialty training in Endodontics.
Dr. Liang actively participates in continuing education and is a part-time clinical instructor at the University of British Columbia Faculty of Dentistry. He is also the endodontics mentor for the CITED Study Club. His special interests include regeneration and dental trauma management.
In his free time, Dr. Liang enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and his two daughters, Caitlyn and Cadence. He is also an avid car fan, and enjoys snowboarding and video games.
Dr. Liang is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a licensed Certified Specialist in Endodontics in BC. The Royal College of Dentists of Canada is an organization that ensures high standards of specialization in the dental profession and recognizes properly trained dental specialists through comprehensive written, oral and case portfolio examinations.
Dr. Liang has also successfully completed the Board Certification process with the American Board of Endodontics and has been declared Board Certified by the directors of the ABE. This challenging certification process was voluntary but is an indication of Dr. Liang's commitment to the specialty of endodontics and the desire to practice evidence-based dentistry. This required a review of the applicant's education and successful completion of a three-part examination process. The purpose of the ABE is to assure the public that the endodontists it certifies have demonstrated exceptional knowledge, skill and expertise in the specialty of endodontics and to progressively raise the quality of patient care.
He is proud to be part of a very select group of less than ten endodontists in British Columbia that are both a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.

Dr. Kimberley Ung
Certified Specialist in Endodontics
Dr. Ung was born and raised in Vancouver. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia before moving to Boston to pursue her studies in dentistry. She received a Doctor of Dental Medicine summa cum laude and a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Boston University. Her faculty selected her for membership in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. Dr. Ung received a Master of Medical Sciences and Certificate in Endodontics from Harvard University. She was awarded the Krakow Harvard/Forsyth Endowed Endodontic Research Fund Award for her post doctorate research in endodontics.
After eight years away, Dr. Ung returned to Vancouver to be closer to family. She values spending quality time with her husband and daughter. Some of her favorite family activities include berry picking at a local farm, jaunts to the playground, enjoying frozen yogurt at Timothy’s in Steveston, and relaxing with a Saturday morning mocha. When Dr. Ung has a moment to herself, you will find her developing her art in modern calligraphy, crafting a hand-made gift, or improving her home décor.
Dr. Ung is a licensed endodontist of the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia, a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and a Board-Eligible Endodontist of the American Board of Endodontists.
